Good morning RJ,

We were on our way to Church last night (daddy, Jake & myself) and we went out to eat before Church and I met someone.  His name is Josh, he has known you for a very long time.  He saw the button with your pic pinned over my heart where I wear it everyday.

He asked me about the pic and when I started telling him, a smile came across his face and he said "that's RJ Davis".

He told me how he'd known you since y'all were little, he used to come and hang out with you, Jerrod, Justin, JW and all the kids here on our block, he said he's been here to the house several times, maybe that is why he looked so familiar.

He said so many nice things about you!!  He talked about how you were always the level-headed one in the crowd, how even when others would try crazy things, you would not.  He said even if they would try thing in front of you, that you would not stray, you would just put your hands up and say "No, that's not for me". 

It is so nice to see people who REALLY knew the kind of person you were.

Then I come on here this morning and Ashley has left a tribute, your friends have been leaving comments you your Myspace, and they seem to be just popping up here and there, I JUST LOVE THESE SIGNS!!  And I sure do love to hear them talking about you.

I asked Josh to never forget you, and he told me that I didn't have to worry, that he would NEVER forget you.

I love you RJ and I'm so happy that even after 4 years your friends still love to talk about you.

YOU HELD JESUS CLOSE TO YOUR HEART HERE ON EARTH, HE NOW HOLDS YOU CLOSE TO HIS HEART THERE IN HEAVEN.

WHEN I DIE AND LEAVE THIS EARTH, THEN SHALL I SEE YOU AGAIN.

Dearest RJ, I wish there was a way for you to be reunited with you dear family now. Unfortunately that is not part of God's plan. Our faith tells us we must not question the will of the Almighty. Please do all in your power to visit you precious family in their dreams and give them comfort in knowing you are in Heaven with the Lord. Let them feel your presence and send some blessings & your love to them. Please find a reason to help to heal their  heart & let them feel happiness once again. Give them a reason to smile once more. Monica and family,

I just had to let you know how sorry I am for the loss of you father. I know how very hard it is because I also lost my father, brother, and just buried our precious Mother on Friday. Life is so very hard at times but God will not leave you and He will comfort you in your times of sorrow. I found the verse on the graphic above just a little comforting to myself and hope that it will you too. "As long as we have memories, yesterday remains. As long as we have hope, tomorrow awaits."
